Developments in Adult and Further Education in recent years are derived from the White Paper on Adult Education of 2000.

As a principle it recognises how the individual learner progresses through and across many levels of educational provision.

This is the background to the development of a deeply textured and broad-ranging adult education provision including established programmes such as the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme, Youthreach, Senior Travellers Education, and the more flexible programmes such as Community Education, Adult Basic Education, and the Back to Education Initiative.

These educational programmes are supported by our Adult Guidance Information Service.

Our self-funded evening classes are provided in all our education locations throughout the county.

North Tipperary VEC's Adult Education Service continues to provide a valuable mechanism for adults to access, participate, and gain relevant and valuable qualification. Our service will remain responsive to the need of adult learners thorough effective communication, collaboration, and partnership with our learners and other relevant adult education interests.
