Lifelong Learning Service

Following the launch of the White Paper on Adult Education in 2000 there followed a period of tremendous growth with the appointment of the Community Education Facilitator, the coming on stream of the Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) and the Adult Guidance Service.

In 2003 it was decided to develop and locate a centre to accommodate the growing adult education service and its staff. In 2004 the centre became operational.

The Adult Education Officer, Community Education Facilitator, Community Education Officers, BTEI staff , Tiobraid Arann ag Labhairt, the North Tipperary Sports Partnership and Adult Guidance Service were located at the new premises. In time the SENO from the DES, the Research and Development Officer and the newly appointed Youth Officer would be based here also.
