Monitoring: FETAC has 3 monitors employed on a full time basis. 170 Providers have been monitored to date and this has allowed FETAC to identify areas of good practice and areas for improvement. The role of monitoring is to ensure the credibility of FETAC awards. This is achieved through monitoring the effectiveness of a Provider's quality assurance agreement by the FETAC Monitor thereby ensuring the integrity of FETAC awards. It is important that all the locations in North Tipperary VEC that are quality assured with FETAC are aware of the possibility of being monitored and that the quality assurance procedures agreed with FETAC are being implemented and evidence maintained in the schools and centres to prove that implementation is happening.
